WHAT WE DO

Besides building robots, we also strive to increase interest, skill and participation of younger students by mentoring FIRST Lego League teams, and giving robotics information and demonstrations at community events to increase interest and respect for science, technology, engineering and math.

GIRLS GENERATION

This Summer the Stormbots are holding another all girls summer Robotics camp for grades 6 - 8 on August 6 - 10, 2012.  The event will be held at McLoughlin Middle school and there will be two different levels for thoughs who wish to participate.  In level 1 you will learn how to wire and solder simple circuits, use mechanical  advantage, and program a robot to navagate a maze.  in level 2 (all those from last summers girls camp) you will learn how to desighn and solder circuits, as well as program a sumobot to preform surgery ("Operation" - game style).  Now you may ask what the price of something like this, but here is the suprise.  IT'S FREE!!!  Your child will also be able to bring home a free T-shirt and at least one project.  Level 1 will be held between 9am - 12pm, and level 2 will be held between 1pm - 4pm.
